Publicity for Artists Workshop 1/16/19 at Lincoln Arts Council
PR 101 for Artists and Entrepreneurs
How to get publicity for your art, event or organization.
PRESENTED BY LINDA STEPHEN
Wednesday, January 16th, 11:45 am to 1:15 pm
The Foundry at 211 N 14th St. in downtown Lincoln
Learn how to get publicity for an event, a new book, or your unique art form. Join Lincoln artist Linda Stephen, who has been featured in news stories from Beatrice to New York City to Kyoto, and who will share tips for artists and “art-repreneurs” on how to prepare for and get interviews and articles on your art or event.
As a branding and public relations professional for Unfolding Communications, Linda has worked with more than 100 authors, 10 book publishers, and dozens of architects, designers, illustrators, sculptors and visual artists across the country. She is currently working with a bronze sculptor, an abstract painter, a songwriter and a children’s book publisher – in Lincoln and across the U.S. When she lived in New York, she launched technology start-ups as well as new programs for United Nations agencies.
Please RSVP to ensure your space and materials. Quarterly Arts Roundtables are organized by the Lincoln Arts Council as a free opportunity for information, resources and networking.
You are welcome to bring your lunch if you’d like to eat during the meeting. Ideas for future round table topics or locations are always welcome.
