Newspaper feature on ‘1,000 Cranes for Lincoln Healing’ with origami taught by Linda Stephen
Lincoln Journal Star newspaper featured a community origami event “1,000 Cranes for Lincoln’s Healing,” organized by Bluestem Montessori Elementary School. Origami artist Linda Stephen taught elementary school students and the public tips on how to fold an origami crane.

Artist Linda Stephen has folded thousands of origami cranes. The school and students aimed to make at least 1,000 cranes in a few weeks. The act of folding itself provides healing. With the help of the public — and many hours of folding by students and families, Bluestem Montessori made 1,338.
